the Back to School Poem
(I slightly altered it to make it for kiddos,
it's actually a teacher's poem to hand out to his/her students
for the new school year)
The night before school is exciting and fun,
there are always so many things to be done.
Your clothes are all ready, your backpack is too,
your classroom is full of fun things you will do.
There are so many questions that run through your mind,
all types of thoughts of every kind.
But sometimes we all get the jitters down deep,
and that makes it hard to fall fast asleep.
So i've made a magic snack mix, it is really cool.
It will help you be rested and get ready for school.
Just eat this snack right before bed,
on the night before school starts when you lay down your head.
This snack will help you sleep through the night,
and you'll wake up in the morning so fresh and so bright!

other Materials used:
Papers- Crate Paper's "Toy Box"
Digital Journal Block by Sahlin Studio
Lined notebook Paper
Basic Silver Staples
Black Archival Ink
On the back (center photo) I attached a little zip lock baggie to include the "magic snack" that will calm all the jitters, of course I will be filling it up with a special little something for my nephews to munch on. I made 2 of them and will be adding there names to the back along with a special little note from me, their Titi :) I'm so in love with this that I have decided to make a bunch more to hand out to a few of my friends kiddos-I really think they will love this! What do you think the perfect magic snack mix would be? I would love to hear your ideas!
